Ben Stokes Participates in Bay Area Nonprofit Event for Entrepreneurs

Bay Area Capital Connections XIII, a nonprofit dedicated to “increasing access to capital and support for local, underrepresented entrepreneurs,” recently hosted an online networking event highlighting this year’s theme of Imagining Our New Selves. From assessing market trends in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, to discussing strategies to strengthen businesses in a more remote world, the sessions of this year’s live event covered a range of relevant topics. In the context of the diversity of the Bay Area, speakers who attended the event stressed that now, more than ever, conversations on “equitable designs for workplaces” leveraging relationships with “culturally-aware capital lenders” are of the utmost importance. Check out more information and a detailed description of the event that took place here!

During educational breakout sessions and alongside a few other other ecosystem funders across the small business capital spectrum, our Founding Partner, Ben Stokes connected with and advised underrepresented founder attendees on various aspects of the founding process.

Ben delights in opportunities to give back to the entrepreneur community in any way he can, and maintains the utmost gratitude for being given a platform to educate minority founders. Ben upholds that the relationships that he forms during these events are mutually beneficial for him because he learns just as much from the founders as they do from him, as he learns about new market trends, developing metrics of success, and more!
