Chasing Rainbows has been in the news quite a lot this Pride, but this time we’ve helped do the reporting. GP Ben Stokes appeared both on camera and off in interviews with CNBC this month, sharing his thoughts on the current reality and potential of LGBTQ+ founders and funds in the venture capital sphere. Writer Kevin Schmidt spoke with Ben and other founders about the challenges that queer entrepreneurs are facing, and what steps Chasing Rainbows and others have taken to give queer founders a leg up, including signing the first checks for startups without funding and supporting state initiatives that would require VCs to report on diversity statistics in their portfolios.
